Columbia | Tina Bierne

by Tina Bierne
“Kiss”: Hannah’s,5, schoolwork, Cathy gives her a kiss.
“Good Morning”: Hillary,3, tells Maxie a secret while her is trying to wake Hannah for school. The morning hours are the only hours Maxie sees Hannah and Bart awake because of his evening work schedule.
“Doll”: While Bart and Hannah are at school, Hillary spends the afternoon napping and watching television. She spends the morning and early part of the afternoon with her father then is joined by her siblings at their grandparents.
“Gun”: On a trip down to the creek, Bart aims his tory gun at the water. Cathy took the children to the creek so that she could gather things to make a basket.
“Truck”: While Hillary, left, and Hannah, middle, play in the back of their grandparents Ford truck, Bart takes a moment to rest. Every afternoon during the week, the children stay with their grandparents, who live across the road, because Maxie must leave for work before Cathy gets home. On this particular day Cathy had to work late.
A trailer, truck and basketball goal top a hill on Highway 1952 near Chance, Kentucky.
Hillary,3, and Bart, 8, enjoy the swing in their backyard.
“Dressing”: Cathy helps Maxie to get Hannah ready for school. Cathy usually wakes the children then Maxie take over when she leaves for work.
