Lafayette | John D. Lindsey

by John D. Lindsey
W.L. “Buck” Gammons, left, helps one of the deacons at his church sweep sawdust off the porch after men installed a new door.
Leaving his house in the morning, Buck slings his pistol over his shoulder. He keeps it in his truck’s tool box during the day and brings it in with him at night.
Picking-up his laundry at his dad’s house, Buck sits and talks with his step-mother while one of his nephews pours a drink.
In his barn at the roadside park, Buck looks through some of his papers.
Buck sits back and takes a rest while visiting a sick friend.
Wearing his cowboy hat is part of Buck’ style.
As a part of his morning routine, Buck feeds his horses.
The hands of a working man who has been a farmer, junk yard operator, and mechanic.
Three crosses are silhouetted by the setting sun in front of a local church in Lafayette.
