Lafayette | Christina Paolucci

by Christina Paolucci
Matt, who had just awakened, sleeps in the car from 6 to about 8 a.m. before finding his mom in the general store.
Often, yard sales are among the stops that Holland and her daughter, Hannah, make when they go out on Saturday afternoon.
After a long day at the store, Holland comes home to fix dinner. She reads and rests in the evening while her husband, Ricky, a tobacco farmer, watches television and wrestles with their son, Matt.
A pup and his master, Matt Holland, 4, of the Highland Community, pause in their play.
Fatigue shows in the face of Cindy Holland, co-owner of Holland General Store in Frog Pong, where her children often play while she works. On Fridays, Holland puts in 12 hours, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Jeffery Russel, 7 of Route #5 Lafayette drink a Mountain Dew infant of the Frog Pond General Store on Thursday while waiting for his mother.
Peddler’s Ridges on a Saturday morning. Mist started to rise and rain started to drizzle.
