It’s a family affair

by Cindy Pinkston
Michael and Janice Patton are the driving force behind the Allen County News. The couple is actively involved in the community that they cover each week. “Organizations are the lifeblood of a community like this,” Janice said. Children, Erin, 5, and Elliot, 11 months, are often included in the couple’s work and civic activities. “it’s hard when you start something for yourself because you always get interrupted,” Micael said. They feel that Scottsville is a good place to raise their children. “Scottsville reflects my rearing – to work hard, to do right and to treat people right,” Michael said. “And that’s what people here in Scottsville do.”
