Hand of friendship, smile of love

by David Beckley
The Cumberland Valley Manor Nursing Home in Burnsville and Donna Booher, the activities director.

The Cumberland Valley Manor Nursing Home in Burkesville is unlike many other nursing homes because of the kindness and attention given to its residents. Donna Booher, the activities director at Cumberland Valley Manor, provides an outstanding example of this dedication.

Responsible for scheduling daily activities, Mrs. Booher carefully provides a wide variety of activities so that everyone will have a chance to participate. Because of the many people at the nursing home, Mrs. Booher must often work with groups, but in spite of this, she always finds time to individually give a loving touch and a warm smile to each of her special people at the nursing home.
