Mike Cummins moved his family from Louisville six years ago to buy The Whistle Stop restaurant in Glendale, population 300. The restaurant has made Glendale famous, and its old building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
“You get the feeling that you’re out in the middle of nowhere, but you’re not,” Mike said of Glendale, which is just off Interstate 65. “You’re in the middle of somewhere.”
