My forever family

Shuffled through the foster care system as child, B.J. Ball, 18, has finally found a home. Ball was brushed off by his mother and taken by Child Protective Services. He lived with eight foster families before being adopted at age 17.

B.J., who has three biological siblings, hopes to be the first to graduate from high school. A senior at John Hardin High School, he speaks to legislators on behalf of foster children and plans to attend college.
