Derek Watkins watches the St. Louis Arch pass as he leaves from a two day field trip to the city with his school, The Shedd Academy for children with dyslexia, attention deficit disorder and/or other learning disablities.
Part of the field trip for the Shedd Academy to the St. Louis Science Center included a viewing in the center's planetarium where they learned about the night sky and watched a presentation of Mr Hubble's Universe, a documentary on the Hubble Telescope.need names
Derek Watkins, far right, observes his mother, Ila, far left, speaking with Brittany Weatherford, who picks up her little sisters, Candace, centered, and MaKayla Jenkins, lower right, with her daughter Alexus, bottom center. Weatherford always picks up her younger sisters, but this is the last time because they have decided to start home schooling. This will leave only six students enrolled at Shedd Academy.
Derek Watkins shows off a purchase from the the St. Louis Science Center's gift shop to his grandparents, George F. and Joyce Kitchen. Derek just returned from a school field trip to Missouri.
