Patricia Garcia, 17, and her friends rock a car before school starts on Friday, October 24, 2003. Friday is dress down day at Nelson County High School, where students are able to wear whatever they want, other times they are under a strict dress policy.

With the on set of fall and the cold weather, leaving the days shorter, the Moore family goes inside for the night.
Patricia Garcia, 17, waits for her mom Rubia Ramos to go sleep after she gets done watching soap operas for the night. Since the family has taken on seven kids, Patricia finds herself without a room and sleeping on the couch in the living room.
