David Dummer first connected with nature when he was a Boy Scout in Paducah, KY. Now he’s 71 and he’s encouraging his grandchildren to get outdoors more and experience the same joy he felt in the forest. “What I like is the simplicity. It’s not manmade, it’s just nature,” he says.
