Each season, Brad and Karly Lowe sow new seeds the old way. On their farm, Hillyard Field Organics in Murray, Ky., daily chores are more like rich rituals, traditions passed down from the one generation of farmers to the next. The recent death of a local farmer and friend reminded the Lowes that they farm in the honor of “old timers” and their timeless advice. One day, the Lowes hope to pass down the traditions they’re keeping alive to their daughters, Lily and Daisy.
